The Prison-Made Queen novel Chapter 692

Originally, Fitch hadn't planned to dismantle the Sloan family so quickly. However, they had become a source of constant arguments within his own family. Gloria was unhappy with Tamara and the Sloans. Milford was forced to live under the same roof as a woman he disliked. And his own daughter, Yvonne, was still suffering out there because of the Sloans...

The convergence of these factors compelled Fitch to accelerate his plans. He was afraid that if he delayed any longer, his own family would fall apart before he could even acquire the Sloan Group.

After receiving his orders, the assistant bowed and left the office.

Fitch returned to the window, gazing at the distant silhouette of the Sloan Group headquarters. He swirled the drink in his hand, his eyes filled with the confidence of a man who held a winning hand. Victory was just around the corner.

He pulled out his phone and dialed an unsaved number. The call connected quickly, and a synthesized electronic voice, its gender indeterminable, came through the line.

“What’s the progress?” the mysterious person asked, getting straight to the point.

From their tone, it was clear this wasn't their first conversation.

Fitch let out a soft laugh, his voice brimming with unconcealed pride. “It’s going even more smoothly than we anticipated,” he reported. “The Sloans are in a tight spot, dealing with both internal and external troubles. The compensation for this construction accident alone is enough to cripple them, not to mention their plummeting stock price. It won’t be long before I can acquire the Sloan Group for you.”

Hearing this, the person on the other end fell silent for a moment, their reaction calmer than Fitch had expected, as if this outcome was no surprise. “You’ve been making some bold moves lately. Hasn’t Hackett Sloan gotten suspicious?”
