However, before his hand could touch her sleeve—
“Swish!”
A silver needle was suddenly pressed against his wrist, the tip glinting coldly. One more inch, and his entire arm would be paralyzed. Josiah froze, his pupils constricting.
"Touch me again, and I won't mind disabling this hand."
Leilani’s voice was light, yet it sent a chill down his spine. She had had enough of the Sloans getting physical every time they saw her. If she didn't teach them a lesson, they really would think she was easy to bully.
The entire Sloan family was stunned. No one expected the once submissive Leilani to dare raise a hand against them!
Tamara stepped back in fear, her voice trembling. "Leilani... how could you do that to Josiah?"
Leilani couldn't be bothered to look at her. Retracting the needle, she turned and walked away.
Seeing this, the security guards immediately stepped in to block the Sloan family from chasing her. "Please leave immediately, or we will call the police!"
Hackett was livid but helpless, forced to watch Leilani’s back disappear into the complex. "She... she actually dared..."
Zadie’s lips trembled, clearly not yet recovered from the shock.
