The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1111

“Since Gian isn’t interested, you don’t need to be here forcing the issue,” Kirsten said coolly.

“And who are you? Does this have anything to do with you?” Gayle shot back, turning to face Kirsten with a look of disdain and hostility.

She had already noticed Kirsten and Gian sitting together, their easy intimacy rubbing her the wrong way. Kirsten’s interruption was the final straw, and her anger flared.

“I’m his friend,” Kirsten replied, meeting Gayle’s glare without flinching. “And as his friend, I don’t like seeing him being coerced into doing something he doesn’t want to do.”

“Miss Gaylord, instead of making a scene here, maybe you should go home and ask your father if this marriage was ever something both parties actually agreed to.”

Gayle’s face turned from pale to flushed. She couldn’t believe Gian would be so dismissive, and she was even more shocked that his friend was so brazen. Having been spoiled her entire life, she’d never been treated this way. Her eyes instantly welled up with tears. “Gian, you’ll regret this! My father won’t let you get away with it!”

“I’ll be waiting,” Gian replied, his tone as cold and unmoving as ever.

Seeing the resolve in his eyes, Gayle knew that pressing the issue further would only humiliate her more. She shot a venomous glare at both Gian and Kirsten, bit her lip, and spun around. The sharp, angry clicks of her high heels faded as she stormed away from the BBQ joint.

After Gayle’s departure, the atmosphere at the food stand grew awkward. The surrounding diners glanced over, their curiosity piqued, whispering amongst themselves.

Kirsten handed Gian a beer. “Don’t worry about them. Here, have a drink.”
