Nash walked straight to Alexander's side, handing him the items. "Mr. Davidson," he reported in a low voice, "we've gathered all the evidence, including Miss Gaylord's pregnancy test results from that year, the travel records of her meetings with a business partner as arranged by Mr. Gaylord, and witness statements from the relevant parties."
Alexander nodded, accepting the documents. He didn't look at them immediately. Instead, he raised his eyes to Lorie, whose face had already started to lose its color.
"Lorie, since you keep insisting you were carrying my child, perhaps you should take a look at these first."
He signaled for Nash to distribute copies of the files to the government leaders and key corporate representatives present. Finally, he held up a pregnancy test report for the entire room to see.
"This is your pregnancy test result from that year. The date of conception coincides precisely with the period when your father, Vincent, arranged for you to bribe a key business partner."
"You're lying!" Lorie's voice was tinged with panic. "That's just a coincidence!"
"A coincidence?" Alexander sneered, picking up another document. "This is your itinerary. It clearly records your frequent meetings with that partner during that time, including several instances where you were out all night."
"During that same period, I was attending an academic conference abroad. I have complete entry and exit records, as well as conference sign-in sheets, to prove that it was impossible for us to have had any contact."
He paused, his gaze sweeping across the room with a hint of scorn. "The child in your belly was never mine. It was an accident that happened when your father, in his quest for power, sent you to bribe a business partner."
"Vincent was worried the scandal would tarnish the family's reputation and was desperate to find a fall guy. Since the public already believed you and I were close, he decided to pin it on me."
"As for your so-called miscarriage," Alexander's voice grew even colder, "I don't need to elaborate on that. That's your private matter. What we should be discussing is your family's business."
