The Wife You Buried Is Back from Hell novel Chapter 1307

After breakfast, Danielle took Niki's hand, and they walked out the door.

The school gates were already bustling with parents and children, cars lining up in a lively morning rush.

As soon as Danielle and Niki reached the entrance, she spotted a familiar figure.

Caleb Northrop was standing not far away, dressed in a sharp casual suit, holding the hand of a little boy—his son, Jarvis.

Jarvis and Niki were classmates, and the two kids got along famously.

Seeing Danielle, Caleb walked over with a warm smile. “Morning, Danielle.”

“Morning.” Danielle smiled back, her gaze landing on his son. “Jarvis is looking sharp today.”

Jarvis flashed Niki a grin, showing off his little canine teeth. “Niki, want to go down the slide together today?”

Niki nodded eagerly. “Yes, yes!”

The two children grabbed each other's hands and chattered excitedly as they ran off to the side.

Caleb watched them go with an amused smile before turning back to Danielle.

“By the way, regarding the overseas project Ninesky and The Davidson Group are partnering on... I reviewed the proposal you sent over yesterday. I think there are a few details we still need to hash out.”

Danielle nodded, instantly shifting into a professional tone. “I agree. There are a few areas that still need polishing.”

“Especially the supply chain risk assessment. I think we need to make it much more detailed.”

“Exactly,” Caleb agreed. “Even though those international competitors have been suppressed, there's no guarantee none slipped through the cracks.”

“We have to lock down every potential risk and give them absolutely no room to maneuver.”

The two stood there discussing the business for over ten minutes, transitioning seamlessly from project details to deployment strategies. Every word was strictly professional.

When they finished, Caleb checked his watch. “Looks like it's about time. I better get Jarvis inside.”

“Same here.” Danielle nodded.

They shared a smile and called out to their respective children.

Niki and Jarvis, still holding hands, waved goodbye to their parents.

Once the kids disappeared into the building, Danielle turned back to Caleb. “I'll head to the office then. We can dive deeper into the proposal later.”

“Sounds good,” Caleb nodded. “Drive safely.”

After saying their goodbyes, they headed in opposite directions.

Danielle had just reached the parking lot and was about to start her car when her phone rang.

The word 'Mom' flashed on the screen. She quickly answered, “Mom, what's wrong?”

Her mother's exhausted, tearful voice came through the speaker. “Danielle... you have to think of something.”

“Your dad... he absolutely refuses to sign the divorce papers.”

The smile on Danielle's face vanished instantly, her stomach dropping as a terrible premonition washed over her.

She tightened her grip on the steering wheel, her voice going dark. “What happened? Didn't the court already accept the filing?”

“They accepted it, but the judge was vague. They said there's still a chance for mediation, that the marriage isn't completely broken.”

Vivian's voice choked with sobs. “Your dad is dead set on dragging this out. He said if I want a divorce, he gets all the assets. Every last cent.”
