Aria's POV
I barely managed to snap a photo of Aiden as we got into the car. He turned his head right when I clicked, giving me only his sharp jawline and the perfect angle of his cheekbones.
God, even his profile was unfairly photogenic. I immediately uploaded it to I*******m with a simple heart emoji, then tossed my phone aside, desperate to rest.
My body protested with every slight movement.
The soreness between my thighs was a constant reminder of our earlier... activities. I shifted uncomfortably in the passenger seat, trying to find relief.
Big mistake. My mind immediately flooded with images of Aiden's naked body—his broad shoulders, the defined muscles of his chest, the way his hands had gripped my hips while we... Jesus, Aria, get it together!
The car rolled to a stop at a red light, and I felt Aiden's eyes on me.
"Hot?" he asked, his voice low and knowing.
"What? No," I stammered, suddenly aware of how flushed I must look. The AC was blasting cold air throughout the luxury interior.
"Then why is your face so red?" His lips curved into that devastatingly sexy half-smile. "What's going on in Mrs. Carter's mind right now?"
"Nothing! Absolutely nothing!" I forced myself to look out the window, desperate to cool down my overheated imagination.
God, this man needed to stop tempting me. My body seriously needed recovery time.
Aiden studied me for another moment before the light turned green, and he mercifully returned his attention to the road. By the time we pulled into the garage of our home, it was already 9:30, and I couldn't suppress a yawn as we walked through the door.
"Tired?" he asked.
I nodded sleepily, rubbing my eyes. "Exhausted."
"Go shower," he suggested, handing me a glass of water.
"Mmm-hmm." I took small sips while trudging up the stairs, feeling Aiden following behind me.
The hot water felt heavenly against my aching muscles. When I stepped out of the bathroom wrapped in my fluffy robe, Aiden was lounging on the bench at the foot of our bed, arms stretched across the back, head tilted slightly. His eyes tracked my movements.
"Did you enjoy today?" he asked, his voice warm and intimate in our bedroom.
I blinked, surprised by the question. "I did. Why? Didn't you?"
"Very much," he smiled. "Though I might have enjoyed it even more if my wife had posted a photo showing my actual face on social media instead of just my profile."
My cheeks flushed instantly. "You saw that?"
"I did."
I fidgeted with the tie of my robe. "You were driving when I tried to take it..."
"Could have waited for another red light," he suggested, his posture changing as he leaned forward slightly. "Unless Mrs. Carter doesn't want to show off her husband's face on social media?"
"Are you kidding me?" My eyes widened with genuine shock. "That's ridiculous!"
Aiden just watched me with that amused, slightly challenging expression that drove me crazy.
