He saw the inn owner was standing outside, looking awkward and troubled.
Behind him were a man and a lady. The man was in his thirties with a well-built figure. It was obvious he trained regularly, and he looked proud and arrogant.
It was Winston Long, the head of security at Dragon Tech.
The lady was Shanice Clenton, the 25-year-old president of a telecommunication company in Mid Sky City. At that moment, Shanice was in a black cheongsam which showed off her exquisite figure, making her look incredibly sexy.
Darryl could not help but take a few more glances at Shanice as his mind was a little numb.
‘What is going on? Why is the inn owner here with a man and a lady in the middle of the night?’ he wondered.
At that moment, the inn owner walked closer to Darryl and said awkwardly, “Mister, the two guests behind me needed a deluxe room for their business meetings. Do you mind leaving this room and I’ll arrange another room for you? What do you think?”
The inn owner’s face looked apologetic as he spoke.
Honestly, the inn owner did not wish to bother Darryl, but with Shanice and Winston beside him, he did not want to find trouble with them.
When he heard that, Darryl furrowed his brow but smiled immediately as he said to the inn owner, “I’m fine staying in this room, and I don’t plan to change; I’m sorry.”
He sounded peaceful, but his tone was firm.
The inn only had two deluxe rooms, which Darryl and Gonggong occupied. The truth was, Darryl did not have any specific requirements for his accommodation, and he would have agreed under normal circumstances. However, that trip to Mid Sky City was important for visiting the Dokko family to discuss the Chaotic Mountain Range. He could not afford any delays.
Most importantly, Darryl was urgently waiting for Tanya to find him, and he did not have the mind to entertain such a petty matter of room changing.
The inn owner smiled bitterly when he saw Darryl had rejected him.
