Darryl felt embarrassed as he looked at Conner's face. "Sorry for the trouble, Sect Master Yoel."
Darryl had wanted to leave immediately, but it was difficult to reject Conner's sincerity.
Besides, Zhang Jue had sent countless men to trace Darryl's whereabouts; it would be a problem if Zhang Jue found him.
Conner chuckled.
He was delighted when Darryl agreed with him. He waved his hand. "Hurry, prepare some good wine and dishes."
Camryn immediately went to prepare the food when she heard Conner's orders.
Melody was delighted to see that Darryl had decided to stay; there would be more opportunity for her to learn from him.
It was seven o'clock at night.
The atmosphere in the hall was lively. A delicious dinner had been prepared as per Conner's orders.
There were four people at the table—Darryl, Conner, Camryn, and Melody.
Conner was a friendly host; he laughed and chatted with Darryl. He continued to serve wine to the other man.
Conner wanted to use the alcohol to minimize Darryl's vigilance. Then, he would find a way to take him down once Darryl was drunk. No matter what, Darryl's power was too terrifying.
Darryl smiled, but he felt unsettled.
Even though Conner promised to send his disciples to look for Dax and then bring him to the Green Cloud Sect, Darryl was still worried.
After three rounds of drinks, Darryl seemed a little drunk. Camryn remembered something as she smiled at Melody. "Melody, you are so lucky to find such a great master. You must drink more with him."
Camryn's face was full of smiles when she said that, but her eyes shone wickedly. 'As long as Darryl is drunk, Hubby will have the chance to take action.'
Conner smiled and nodded in agreement.
Melody immediately served Darryl more wine when she heard that.
