Jack raised his hand and worked together with Woody and the others to condense a terrifying force, forming a black tornado that spun toward Zhang Jue!
Zhang Jue was nearly exhausted at that point; he dared not put on a fight and merely resorted to using his Sky Breaking Axe to resist the blow!
Boom!
There was a thunderous noise as Zhang Jue groaned while being thrown over a hundred feet back in the air. He looked extremely pale.
Jack was pleased by the sight of Zhang Jue suffering from the blow. He threw his head back and laughed, seemingly very proud of his work. Then, he took out a green paper with fulu incantations and threw it at him!
Fizz!
The paper flew and turned into a green streak of flame that burned a mark on Zhang Jue’s back! Zhang Jue sucked in a sharp breath due to the shooting pain. He was enraged. He held onto the Sky Breaking Axe and swung it around a few times.
Buzz!
Those few movements almost drained his internal energy, and its terrifying power scared Jack and his followers. They quickly evaded it.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Zhang Jue did not hesitate to flee. He rushed out of the palace and ran into the distance. In a blink of an eye, he had disappeared from everyone's sight.
Zhang Jue was not stupid. He knew death was waiting for him if he continued fighting. Staying alive was the most important thing to him.
Jack turned gloomy when he saw Zhang Jue had managed to get away.
"Chase after him!" Woody roared.
He was about to chase after Zhang Jue, but Jack stopped him.
"There’s no need to chase after him. I put a Blood Spirit Stamp on him earlier; he won’t be able to get away from us no matter how far he runs!" Jack said coldly with a confident, wicked smile.
The next second, Jack looked at everyone. "Quick! Tie all these people up!"
Upon his command, his followers stepped forward and tied everyone up.
Jack looked around and suddenly realized that Darryl and Chang Er were nowhere to be found.
