Although Ambrose was assisting and looked calm; he was actually occupied with thoughts about the Carter family.
When Patton was about to merge the fifth inner core, he looked serious as he spoke to Ambrose, “Your Highest Eldest Prince, the fifth inner core is the most critical one. All effort will go to waste if this fails. Although it will not cost His Majesty’s life, there is a big possibility that it may cause him to go into a stupor.”
Stupor was an ancient term, and in other words, it meant he would be in a vegetative state.
When Ambrose heard that, he was stunned and could not help but mumbled in his heart. ‘Stupor? That means if we fail, Father won’t die but he’ll lose all his power.’
Ambrose nodded. “I understand, Imperial Physician Laine. Let’s continue!”
Patton nodded his head and picked up the fifth inner core and was ready to merge the energy. However, at that moment, Ambrose’s eyes blinked as he raised his fist and punched Patton’s chest.
The truth was Ambrose had no intention of harming Patton. However, Lord Kenny wanted to kill the Carter family and there was no other way for Ambrose to stop him, so he had to take the risk.
Like Patton explained earlier, if merging the inner core failed, Lord Kenny would not die.
“Ambrose, you…”
“Your Highness Eldest Prince!”
Both Lord Kenny and Patton were shocked. They never imagined Ambrose would attack them suddenly.
Still in shock, Patton tried to avoid the attack, but due to his old age and Ambrose’s speed, there was no way for him to dodge the punch.
Bang!
Ambrose used all his energy in that punch when he landed it on Patton’s chest. He heard Patton moan in pain when he was sent flying before crashing into the pillar near the door and landing heavily.
