Xenia and Yennie backed away instantaneously when they sensed the poisonous mist.
Hansel caught the opportunity and shouted at Wallace, "Quickly! Take Chester!"
Then, he rushed toward Chester.
Hansel was a cunning man. He knew that if he returned to the Ghost World empty-handed, the King of the Dead would definitely punish him. He would have to take Chester since he could not take the two Nine Saint Oracles with him.
Wallace heard Hansel and reacted quickly. They grabbed Chester from both sides and promptly flew into the distance. In the blink of an eye, they had disappeared into the dark night.
Xenia and Yennie were exasperated.
The two cunning envoys had not forgotten to take Chester with them when they fled.
Xenia and Yennie were furious; they were about to pursue them.
However, it did not take long before Xenia fell from the high altitude; she was indescribably weak and lethargic. The moment she landed on the ground, her face was so pale that she could hardly speak.
"Xenia—"
Yennie hurried to Xenia's side, and she supported Xenia by holding her arms gently. Yennie looked worried as she asked, "Xenia, how are you? How do you feel? Why did you do that? Why did you burn your Nascent Soul?"
Xenia smiled weakly. "If we don't take the risk, then we will still be trapped in the Six Ways Soul Destruction Formation."
She looked in the direction where Hansel and Wallace fled indignantly. "What a pity that they managed to rescue Chester and take him away; we won't be able to find out Darryl's whereabouts."
Yennie took a deep breath, her face solemn and unforgiving. "Even if Darryl escapes to the end of the world, we will avenge Cynthia."
Then, she supported Xenia, and they walked down the hill slowly.
Yennie knew the most important thing then was to find a safe place for Xenia to recuperate. She had burned her Narcent Power, so she must be exhausted.
