Jackie was furious and was about to scold Darryl, but she controlled herself.
Jackie knew the Sect Master only called Darryl, her husband, because of her.
At that moment, Darryl smiled and looked at the Sect Master. “Dear, please get the exquisite pagoda for me.”
The Sect Master agreed then walked over to Jackie.
“Sister, the exquisite pagoda belongs to Darryl. I feel we should just return it to him,” she said softly, feeling frustrated.
She was against handing over the exquisite pagoda as it was an extraordinary treasure. However, Jackie had it for three years and was not able to figure out a way to activate it.
At that moment, Darryl was in full control of their situation. If she did not hand it over, Darryl would find other ways to humiliate her and Jackie.
When she heard that, Jackie bit her lips tightly and did not respond. That was considered her silent agreement.
Then, the Sect Master took the exquisite pagoda from Jackie and handed it to Darryl.
Darryl grabbed it and was excited and emotional beyond imagination. It had been three years since he last had the exquisite pagoda and now he finally got it back.
After he put the exquisite away properly, Darryl took a deep breath and said slowly, “Jackie, Sect Master! What happened earlier was mainly a coincidence. If you both can’t let it go and have to seek revenge from me, I welcome you at any time!”
Once he was done speaking, he turned and left.
Sigh!
Jackie bit her lips as she saw Darryl disappearing into the distance. Her eyes were blinking and she could not speak for a long time.
‘Did this bastard just leave like that? Our lives were in his hands earlier. If it was anyone else, they would have acted against us. However, Darryl only said horrible things; he never acted on any of it after all. Have I misjudged him all this while?’ she thought.
