Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3266

Grady looked unhappy. “Lolita, this is your fault. I heard your plantation caught fire this morning, so I came over to take a look. I didn’t expect you to blame me for it.”

When he said that, Grady looked serious, but his eyes looked hideous.

Lolita had guessed correctly; the plantation was set on fire by Grady's men. He came over just to laugh about it. She was skeptical when she saw Grady looked serious.

Grady took a step forward and said, “Lolita, I heard the Damien family signed a partnership agreement with Mister Cunning’s wine refinery company a few months ago. In the future, you’ll be providing them with the grapes to make wine. But now, your grapes are all ruined. If the Damien family isn’t able to supply them grapes, it’ll be a breach of contract.”

Lolita’s expression changed as she replied coldly, “What are you talking about?”

While she appeared calm, on the inside, she was panicking. Grady was right; the Damien family had signed an agreement with Cunning’s wine refinery. Every year they will provide the company with grapes to make their wine.

The fire destroyed all the grapes that were about to mature and the Damien family was expected to deliver them in a few days' time. They will have to pay a huge compensation bill if they aren’t able to deliver it in time.

“Lolita, don’t always act so cold towards me. I’m here to help you sincerely this time. Our families are friends,” Grady said, smiling.

Then, he continued, “I just received news that Mister Cunning will hold a private banquet in Pearl City at noon today. Perhaps you’ll get a chance to meet him.”

Lolita's body trembled when she heard that and could not help but say, "Really?"

No matter how the fire started, those grapes were still destroyed. If there was a chance to meet Cunning himself to explain the situation, perhaps she might be able to reduce the loss slightly. However, Cunning was a famous man, so how would she be able to meet him so easily?’
