Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3309

After more than ten seconds of complete silence in the hall, the Mayor of Pearl City, Seth, finally stepped out slowly. He tried to appear imposing. "Sit through a trial since you insisted that you are innocent."

Then, Seth waved his hand. "Guards! Take him down. Put him in prison for a public trial tomorrow."

Sigh!

Darryl heard the command and took a deep breath. He nodded. "I can go through the investigation, but I have a request. Grady here is extremely suspicious. I ask that you detain him too."

Darryl was furious. 'F*ck! I was slandered, but everyone here seems to be deceived by Grady! Even the Mayor thinks that I am the murderer.'

No matter what, Darryl was determined not to let Grady off so easily.

"Absurd!"

Seth became enraged, and he rebuked, "Are you the mayor or am I the Mayor? You are the biggest suspect. What has it got to do with Grady?"

Seth wore a solemn look, but a trace of conflict and coldness flashed across his eyes.

As the Mayor of Pearl City, Seth was close with all the prominent families in the city, especially the McClaren family. Seth had massive exchanges of interest with the McClaren family, so how could he possibly detain Grady.

Darryl was taken aback when he heard the Mayor's sharp retort, but he quickly understood the reason behind it.

'F*ck, the Mayor is on Grady's side. He seems to be in cahoots with the McClaren family. I must have expected too much out of him to believe that he could be impartial.'

Suddenly, a man stepped out from the crowd and pointed at Darryl. Then, he shouted, "You're just a live-in son-in-law, a scumbag who lives off your wife! How dare you negotiate terms with the Mayor? What do you think you are?"

It was Jordan who spoke with contempt.

Jordan and Grady were friends. He was annoyed when Darryl had struck Grady in public.

Darryl sneered and said nothing!

Everyone else was also criticizing and condemning Darryl.

"How unruly is that live-in son-in-law who openly attacks the McClaren family's Young Master."
