“Retreat. Everyone, retreat!” Randy roared, not wanting to admit defeat.
He thought being able to trap his enemies on the hill would help him take down Sunshine City easily. He never imagined the river bank would break suddenly, causing thousands of his soldiers to suffer the flood.
At that moment, Randy wanted to fight Reese straight on, but his soldiers had low morale. Even their formation was destroyed. Things would get worse if he insisted on fighting.
Whoosh!
After he spoke, many of the alliance armies turned around and ran away. In an instant, everyone left, looking embarrassing.
Everyone from Reese to the citizens of Sunshine Citycheered! Hundreds of thousands of alliance soldiers were defeated just like that. Who would believe it if they had not seen it with their own eyes?
It was a blessing from God to Sunshine City. How else would the riverbank suddenly crack?
While everyone was cheering, no one paid attention to Darryl. No matter what, the geomancy theory that Darryl mentioned, was something impossible to them. It was something that would never exist.
Meanwhile, Reese looked at Darryl with a look of admiration and respect in her eyes. Others may not have understood, but Reese knew the reason they managed to defeat their enemies was because of Darryl’s plan.
“Mister Darren, we managed to protect Sunshine City and it’s all thanks to you. When Albert returns, I’ll let him report this to the King to get you some rewards,” Reese said to Darryl, smiling.
Darryl laughed when he heard that. He helped Reese protect the city simply because he did not wish to see the citizens suffer. He never wanted any reward.
However, Jameson was not happy.
