Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3413

A strong wind kicked up wherever Dennis passed. It was truly an incredible force. He put all that he had into that one punch, preparing to take Darryl out with a single attack. His men became excited when they saw what was happening right in front of their eyes.

"That will teach you to talk back to the young master!"

"Go on, Young Master! Show him what you've got!"

Obviously, no one had any pity for Darryl, for in their eyes, he was nothing but a lowly royal guard. He got what he deserved for acting so disrespectfully to Dennis.

Darryl became furious though he kept a frosty smile on his face. 'He's crazy, alright. I gave him a chance, and this is how he repays me?' He breathed in deeply and prepared for the impending attack. Even though Dennis was strong, he was still not strong enough to be Darryl's match.

"Stop!" Angeline cried just as Dennis was about to land a blow on Darryl. She was enjoying her meal when she heard the commotion outside, so she went out to see what was going on. Then, she saw Darryl and Dennis fighting.

She quickly walked toward them and gave Dennis an icy glance. She was mad at him for bullying Darryl when he was the only reason they were still alive.

At the sight of Angeline, Dennis quickly stopped what he was doing. "Have you had enough food, Princess Angeline?" he asked with a pained smile, trying to disguise the anger in his heart. He did not expect her to come out so fast, and his chance at teaching Darryl a lesson was gone since she was there.

Angeline took a deep breath and walked past him, keeping her eyes focused on Darryl.

"Darren, are you hurt?" she asked once she was standing in front of him. She knew Darryl's cultivation was only at the saint honor level, so there was no way he could win in a fight against Dennis. She had no idea Darryl purposely kept his true power hidden and had already broken through to saint honor the previous day. In fact, she should be worrying about Dennis instead.

"I'm fine," Darryl said with a smile.

Once again, the guards could not believe their eyes. Why would Princess Angeline be concerned about a lowly royal guard? Dennis was livid with anger and jealousy. What did Darryl have that he did not? He already harbored ill-intention toward Darryl, and that intensified.

"Dennis, have you no shame? No matter what, Darren is a royal guard. I wouldn't have been able to come out of the palace if it were not for him! And this is how you treat him? Don't you realize that attacking him is the same as attacking me, the Queen's sister?!" Angeline growled while looking coldly at him. She found Dennis' habit of bullying the weak maddening.

Dennis was rendered speechless by Angeline's scolding. He felt humiliated to be chastised like that. However, he recovered the very next second. "Princess Angeline, I was not bullying him. We were only sparring," he explained with an innocent smile on his face. "Why would I bully him when he saved us from the Blood Wolf Group? We were a bit bored just then, so we wanted to spar. You can ask my men if you don't believe me."
