"Lolita!"
Grady took a deep breath; he looked serious. "I know you are a dutiful granddaughter, but there are many ways to practice filial piety. You don't have to grieve your grandfather's death for a year. I will put in money tomorrow to build a statue to commemorate MasterDamien. Is that okay?"
While talking, Grady continued to observe Lolita. He was getting impatient.
Lolita groaned and shook her head firmly. "No, I swore that I would do it. How can I simply change my mind?"
Even though Grady had become a much better person, Lolita still hesitated to marry him.
'F*ck!'
Grady could not help but smile contemptuously at Lolita, who persisted in rejecting him. "Okay, don't you act innocent with me. You were married to Darryl. You are a woman who has been married once. You should feel honored that I want to marry you. Don't you act like you don't know any better."
"You—"
Lolita trembled and stared blankly at Grady. She did not expect the sudden change of tone from Grady.
Grady seemed like he was not done talking. He sneered. "Am I wrong? Lolita, I have been waiting for you for so long, and the entire Pearl City knows that I want to marry you. Don't challenge my patience!"
"I will never marry you!" Lolita flushed and responded coldly.
She thought that Grady had turned over a new leaf. It turned out that he was pretending all along. He had finally revealed his true colors.
Grady was too lazy to keep putting up a show; he sneered coldly. "You don't want to marry me? Do you think you have a choice?" Grady moved closer and sat next to Lolita. He was sneering as he talked. At the same time, he was reaching out to grab Lolita's hand.
Grady had decided that he would get his hands on Lolita that day, no matter what. He did not care if Lolita agreed or not.
Lolita was furious. She dodged Grady's hand and spoke in displeasure. "Grady, you'd better show me some respect."
Lolita seemed calm when she rebuked Grady, but she was flustered on the inside. It was late then, and there was no one else at the beach except for herself and Grady. What if Grady forced himself on her?
