The sharp sounds of a slap to the face echoed through the room. Everyone from the Damien family was shocked.
After being slapped countless times, Laura’s cheek was so swallowing she had difficulty speaking.
“Who else has something to say?” Donnie said coldly as he looked around.
Everyone eyed each other and responded, “Clan Head!”
“Clan Head!”
The Damien family acknowledged Donnie as their new Clan Head. Many people knew Donnie was not qualified or skilled enough to be the Clan Head, but they had no other choice. It was obvious Grady was backing him and who would dare to stand up to Donnie?
Lolita was in despair at the sight. She was appalled no one else had helped her besides Laura. They were all from the Damien family.
Grady walked over with a smile on his face. “Ha-ha-ha! Congratulations! I’m sure the Damien family will get bigger and better under your leadership.”
“Young Master Grady, without your help, I would never have been able to be the Clan Head,” said Donnie humbly.
Grady enjoyed being praised as he smiled and said, “Second Uncle Donnie, our families are close. I believe you won’t object to my proposal to marry Lolita.”
He grinned wickedly as he spoke.
Grady only helped Donnie become Clan Head of the Damien family to get Lolita easier. Now that Donnie had almost succeeded in his plans, Grady was happy.
Donnie was a wise man and immediately laughed. “Our two families will be closer than ever. This is awesome! How could I refuse?”
