It was exciting to think about how he would be able to enter the Godly Region freely once that teleportation array was built.
"Mmm…" Just then, Madam Pandora woke up from her unconscious state. Her low moan nearly turned Darryl's bones into jelly.
He quickly made his way over to her and supported her. "Are you okay?" He gave her a once-over and discovered nothing else was wrong with her apart from being a little shaken.
Madam Pandora nodded in response to his question, then asked curiously, "What happened? Is this place going to collapse soon?"
Darryl took a deep breath and smiled at her. "No, no, there's no need to be worried about anything. It was a temporary setback." He decided not to tell her all that had happened with Master Franklin and the Chaos Teleportation Array for fear of causing her too much shock. Madame Pandora took him at his word and did not pursue the matter further.
Darryl swept his eyes around his surroundings and said, "I need to do something important later, and I need you to keep guard of the area. If anyone comes by, make sure you don't let them come near me, understand?"
His expression was severe, but he was not actually worried about being disturbed by others. After all, the place was huge, maze-like, and filled with booby traps. It would be difficult for anyone to reach there.
"Yes, all right," Madame Pandora said without hesitation. She did not know what he was planning to do, but she would do anything for him.
Without wasting any more time, Darryl walked to the center of the praying altar and started to build the Chaos Teleportation Array. At first, he found it easy, but it got more complex. There was a vast difference between that teleportation array and the other array or formation Darryl had learned before. It required Darryl to induce his internal energy continuously; it was both labor and time-intensive, so much that it would require at least a few days for him to finish building it.
A day passed in the blink of an eye. Darryl was still working on the teleportation array, and sweat was raining down his forehead while Madame Pandora kept guard. She wanted to wipe the sweat for him but feared it would break his focus. So, she managed to stop herself from doing that.
Soon, another half day passed. Darryl had entered a state where all that was left in his mind was his burning desire to finish building the teleportation array. Suddenly, footsteps came from one of the tunnels, and subsequently, two groups of men appeared.
One group was wearing armor with the sun's emblem embroidered on them. They were the capital city guards of the Day Rise Principality. There was also a man with an arrogant look with them, and he wore a gorgeous robe and had an overwhelming aura. It was Jameson; he held a grudge against Darryl. The King had sent them there as soon as they realized that the tremors were coming from Mount Rochsor.
As for the other group of men, they were dressed differently, but they wore uniform insignia on their shoulders. Darryl could sense that they were powerful; he knew they were members of the Bounty Alliance. The group was led by a young and handsome man called Karum, who Darryl had seen once before.
