Besides, Jameson had the advantage of numbers on his side. Karum, too, was staring fixedly at Darryl, waiting for his answer.
Darryl scoffed and said, "You wouldn't understand what's happening here even if I explained it to you. So, if you know what's good for you, you'll take your men and leave." Then he turned to look at Karum and said, "Same goes for you. Leave now, and don't even disturb me again."
Darryl was feeling very agitated by their interruption. There were still some ways to go before he finished constructing the teleportation array.
Jameson was pissed at Darryl's attitude. "Darren, do you think you're back at the Golden Lion Principality and that the Queen is here to help you? No, so don't give me that attitude." His tone was cold.
Karum was furious as well. "You must be tired of living to say that to me," he shouted. Then he cocked his head at Jameson and said, "Let's kill him!" Karum was smart. He knew Darryl was powerful and that he and his men were no match for him, so he decided to join forces with Jameson.
Jameson agreed with his plan. He nodded and shouted, "Kill him!" Immediately, hundreds of capital city guards roared and rushed toward Darryl. Their roars were joined in by Karum and his men from the Bounty Alliance, who rushed toward Darryl too.
"Stop! Stop!" Madame Pandora shouted as she made her way toward Darryl. She wanted to block their path but was stopped by the men from the Bounty Alliance.
'D*mn those two cowards!' Darryl thought when he saw them rushing toward him with their men. Then, he turned to Madame Pandora and said, "Don't worry about me." Instantly, his internal energy exploded as he rushed toward the swarm of men.
"Ascension of the Nine Dragons!" Darryl shouted in a thunderous voice. The space around them distorted as a terrifying windstorm kicked up. After that, nine golden dragons appeared in front of them, and immediately, shrill screams could be heard as the nine golden dragons sent the men down in pools of blood. That went on for a few good minutes before the nine golden dragons slowly disappeared. A total of three hundred of Karum and Jameson's men died under that attack.
Darryl stood there like the grim reaper himself. His face was a little pale—both the array construction and the summoning of the Nine Dragons had consumed much of his internal energy.
Jameson's and Karum's faces were drained of all colors when they saw their fallen men before them. Darryl was much more powerful than they had ever imagined. How could one single attack take out so many of their men at one time, and what exactly were those golden beasts?
Madame Pandora was also trembling from awe, and her legs had turned into jelly. She was looking at Darryl with disbelief. 'So that is his true power! He's truly powerful!'
