‘This doesn't seem like the way back to the courtyard. Bugger that! Let's get rid of the lunatic Lorelle first.’ After making up his mind, Darryl continued forward.
After a few minutes, he arrived in a desolate valley. The valley was scorched and black in color with no sign of life anywhere. There was a huge deep pit in the center of the valley and it was a shocking sight.
‘What is this place?’ Darryl was stunned by the horrifying sight.
Then, he saw a cave on the mountain wall not far away. There was a huge rock next to the cave; he could vaguely see a few large characters carved on the rock. It read that no trespassers were allowed in the land where the demon was annihilated.
‘The land where the demon is annihilated?’ Darryl frowned, realizing he had come to a forbidden place.
Instinctively, he wanted to turn around and leave but he could see that Lorelle and Harrison were catching up to him. Finally, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and run straight into the cave.
Soon, Lorelle and Harrison arrived; their figures hovered above the black valley.
Harrison frowned as he gazed down on the piece of land before him. “This seems to be a place of retribution.”
Harrison frowned as he gazed down at the piece of land before him and said, "This seems to be the place of retribution..."
Lorelle was no longer the deranged version of herself she exhibited earlier after she heard what Harrison said. Her lovely face looked solemn and her eyes had a trace of awe and conflicted feelings. As a disciple of Immortal Venerable Balman, Lorelle had heard of the incident whereby the Godly Region carried out a mass execution of demons ten thousand years ago. The mass execution took place in the Land of Retribution.
Finally, Harrison reacted and whispered to Lorelle, "Junior Sister, let's go back."
Just looking at the Land of Retribution gave him a cold and eerie feeling.
Lorelle shook her head. "Brother, what are you afraid of? This place is nothing but ruins. Instead of going back to Mister Ghost Valley Sage, that attendant boy escaped from the Ghost Mountain after I taught him a lesson. Obviously, he knew he had done something wrong."
