When Garuda found out the Red Sparrow Queen had fallen into the abyss, he instantly flew down with the two others to check on her. The abyss was extremely deep, but they were good with flying, so they were able to make their way down successfully.
Garuda was delighted and excited when he saw the Red Sparrow Queen. However, he became stunned when he sensed her weak strength. His eyes flashed, and he thought to himself, 'The Red Sparrow Queen is hurt? Is this my chance now?'
The Red Sparrow Queen had three right-hand men—Phoenix, Peacock, and Garuda. In Garuda's heart, he was confident he was just as good if not better than the other two, but the Queen did not seem to value himself highly. For example, he was ordered to stay back at the headquarters during their battle with the Beast Alliance, which made him a little pissed.
However, no matter how pissed he was, he dared not express his dissatisfaction. He knew the Red Sparrow Queen's strength. The Queen was severely hurt at that moment, and a bold idea came to his mind. His heart leaped with happiness. The Queen was the ancestor of hundreds of other bird species and possessed the mighty Power of Bird Ancestor. He would steal the Power of Bird Ancestor from her and hold dominion over Phoenix and Peacock!
'Shit!' Darryl started to panic when he saw Garuda and the other two walking over to them. He could instantly guess that those three young men were the Red Sparrow Queen's subordinates by the way they dressed.
"Till we meet again, Red Sparrow Queen!" Darryl said and immediately turned to leave. He was sure that her subordinates would annihilate him if he did not leave that instant.
Just as expected, the Red Sparrow Queen frowned when she saw Darryl trying to escape. She immediately ordered Garuda to capture him. However, he stood still. He had no intention of chasing after Darryl at all. He thought that it was his chance to steal the Power of Bird Ancestor, so why should he waste his time on a mere mortal?
"Garuda! Didn't you hear what I said?" the Red Sparrow Queen shouted angrily when she saw him not moving. She began to panic when she saw Darryl getting further away. She was sure he would cause her more trouble in the future if he escaped then.
Suddenly, Garuda smirked and said, "He's a mere mortal. There's no need to go to all that trouble for him. Instead, we should get down to business."
"What business?" the Queen said unhappily, frowning. She was furious. Not only did Garuda defy her order, but he addressed her so casually. However, she forced herself to calm down to find out what he wanted.
