Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3629

Darryl took another deep breath and said to Peacock Lilibet, "What really happened was that Garuda took advantage of the seriously injured Red Sparrow Queen. He wanted the Power of Bird Ancestor for himself."

Darryl was furious. He was nearly killed in the abyss by Garuda for attempting to protect the Red Sparrow Queen, and he dared to slander him in public?

Peacock Lilibet's delicate face was solemn. She had a calm temperament, and at that time, each party was digging their heels into their own conviction, so it was difficult to tell who was telling the truth. Therefore, she chose to monitor the situation quietly and wait for one to trip in their lies. It was the same situation with Colori Peacock.

Garuda sneered before he said to Darryl sympathetically, "You're still refusing to tell the truth? You possessed the Power of Bird Ancestor, and that is the iron-clad proof for what I've said! There's no way you can argue your way out of that." Then, he forced a few tears and said sorrowfully, "I blame myself for not getting to the Queen in time. Thus, I have sworn to avenge her!"

Even Darryl had to admit that Garuda's acting was compelling. His grief, especially, was very moving. The Peacock Lilibet and Colori Phoenix looked at Darryl again.

Then, Colori Phoenix could not help but question Darryl. "Is it true what Garuda said? Did you kill the Queen and take her Power of Bird Ancestor?" Her voice was not loud but very authoritative.

At that moment, everyone looked at Darryl closely, waiting for his answer.

Darryl took a deep breath and nodded. "I indeed got the Power of Bird Ancestor, but the Red Sparrow Queen gave it to me willingly. She sacrificed her own life to do so."

As soon as he said that, Garuda yelled at him. "Gave it to you?! The Power of Bird Ancestor is the power source for all the bird clans, and you are just a human being. Why would the Queen pass it to you? Come up with a better story than that if you want to lie!"

Then, he shouted at Colori Phoenix and Peacock Lilibet. "He just admitted that he got the Power of Bird Ancestor! There's no need to hesitate anymore! Kill him to avenge the Queen!"

His eyes were full of hatred. He wished he could rip Darryl apart with his own hands but knew he was too powerful since he had the Power of Bird Ancestor. Thus, he instigated Colori Phoenix and Peacock Lilibet to do what he could not. He had thought it through—he would eliminate them when they were all at their weakest.

As soon as he said that, other Garuda clan members also joined in with their own instigations.

"Yes! That human is despicable! He should not be forgiven!"

"Kill him and avenge the Queen!"

"Kill him…"

Darryl remained calm in the face of all the heckling. He looked at Garuda and said, "You're really good at twisting the truth. You were the one who backed the Queen into the corner, so she had no choice but to pass the Power of Bird Ancestor to me. I can't believe you have such a thick face to do what you're doing now!"

Garuda's face turned beet red, and he was momentarily at a loss for words. The next second, not wanting to waste more time, he shouted at Colori Phoenix and Peacock Lilibet. "What are you two still waiting for? The fact that he possessed the Power of Bird Ancestor is concrete proof that he's the Queen's killer!"

Colori Phoenix and Peacock Lilibet glanced at each other, erupted their power, and charged straight at Darryl. They would not have believed that Darryl had killed the Queen if not for the fact that he possessed the Power of Bird Ancestor.

As Colori Phoenix and Peacock Lilibet charged forward, Darryl felt depressed and said helplessly, "You don't believe me? Things are not as that bloody Garuda said!"
