An exquisite and gorgeous carriage drawn by eight white horses was parked in front of the royal army. The carriage was pure gold with dragons and phoenixes carved on it. It was very flashy.
There was a slender figure sitting quietly inside the carriage—it was Quincy Long, still dressed in the dragon and phoenix robe she wore to the Nine Mainland Conference. The robe accentuated her beautiful figure while maintaining the decorum befitting the Royal Family.
Quincy parted the bead curtain and looked at Shannon. "Sister, it's been three years. Don't you miss the South Cloud World at all? Please come home with me!" As always, her tone was soft but authoritative at the same time.
She could not help but glance at Goddad coldly as she spoke to Shannon. Even though three years had passed and Darryl had been swept away by the chaotic vortex, she still had not changed her view of him. If it were not for him, her sister would not have gotten pregnant, making the South Cloud World Royal Family lose their dignity. Under those circumstances, she had no love for her nephew.
Shannon took a deep breath, and her face remained impassive as she said, "I'm not going back there. My home is with the Carter family now."
Quincy's face changed when she heard that, and she began to panic. "It's time for you to wake up, Sister! You did not get married to Darryl and had to give birth to that child secretly. You'll become the laughing stock of the other continents if you stay with the Carters!" Then her tone became firm when she said, "No matter what, you're coming home with me today!"
Quincy received news that her sister and nephew were vacationing at Moonlight Lake shortly after leaving the conference. Without hesitation, she brought her men there to block their path. She thought that her sister had brought shame to the South Cloud World Royal Family when she did not marry Darryl. She had to live with the Carter family without acknowledging her status in the family.
Shannon just sighed and did not give any response to her sister.
"Hey, your sister already said she won't be going back with you, so you should stop forcing her. Do you think that you can disturb other people's lives just because you're the Empress?" Dax roared.
"Shut up! How dare you speak to Her Majesty that way?" one of the army generals shouted.
