“Darryl!” Peacock Lilibet, who was down below, exclaimed at the sight of Darryl suffering from the blow.
Colori Phoenix looked worried too. She wanted to run over to Darryl’s side and check on his injuries, but she had no chance to make a move as she was surrounded by White Tiger King’s subordinates.
White Tiger King stared down Darryl with pride laced in his tone as he spoke, "Darryl, do you think you, as a human being, stand a chance fighting against me?"
His tone started to ease up and he spoke guilefully, trying to lead Darryl astray. "Darryl, I, White Tiger King, am not a despicable person who burns bridges. I have never forgotten how you have helped me deal with Red Sparrow Queen. However, the Power of Bird Ancestor does not belong to you, humans, so it's better for you to hand it over to me."
As he spoke, he slowly approached Darryl. His powerful and intimidating aura was suffocating. He was extremely proud and pleased with himself because Darryl clearly had no power left to fight him anymore.
Darryl exhaled deeply and smiled bitterly at the sight of White Tiger King drawing nearer. "Okay. If this is my fate, I will gladly accept it and not put up a fight. I will give you the Power of Bird Ancestor as you wish!"
He threw his head back and shouted to the sky, "Red Sparrow Queen, I'm sorry for disappointing you!"
Darryl seemed indisposed when he cried out loud, but a sly smile crossed his eyes.
He was merely feigning to be weak. Besides, he did not intend to give White Tiger King the Power of Bird Ancestor and he was just pretending to compromise.
He knew in his heart that if he were to continue fighting head-on with White Tiger King, the result would be a bloodbath on both sides. In that case, Garuda's evil plot would succeed.
