Although Ambrose and Dax were up against Rogart together, Ambrose knew that both Dax and himself were barely surviving Rogart's seemingly easy attacks. Ambrose feared for Dax’s life after Rogart displayed his weapon.
Dax could not help taking a deep breath when he sensed Rogart’s intense fighting spirit. Cold, sweat was beginning to break out on his forehead, but he remained headstrong and unyielding.
‘F*ck! Even if I were to die today, I would never surrender to him!’ he thought.
Wasting no time, Rogart waved his hand and his Heaven Failing Sword let out an earth-shattering howl. Then, a dazzling light that merged the heavens and earth came crashing down on Dax.
Ambrose saw the danger coming and he wanted to reach out to help Dax, but he was also injured by Rogart earlier. Blood was still churning in Ambrose’s body and it was too late for him to take any action.
‘Come on!’ Dax's eyes were red with determination.
He chose to keep fighting instead of retreating like a coward. He emptied his internal energy into the Sky Breaking Axe in an attempt to do his best to fight off Rogart’s attack. Once he channeled all his internal energy into his weapon, a ray of light shot out of it, lighting up the world.
Bang!
In the next second, Rogart's dazzling light slammed into the Sky Breaking Axe, rendering its power to subside instantly. Thereafter, Dax let out a muffled grunt and he was sent flying more than 100 meters away before falling heavily to the ground.
Although Dax was one of the strongest cultivators in the Nine Mainland, he was still a far cry from being able to face off against Rogart. He was already injured during the duel earlier and he had completely lost his ability to fight after Rogart drew his weapon.
