The other elite disciples activated their internal energy and were about to attack Jewel. Suddenly, there was a loud shout and Rogart strode over with a solemn look on his face. “Stop!”
When he arrived, he glanced around and scolded, "How dare you be so discourteous to my distinguished guest! Back off!"
The elite disciples quickly retreated.
Rogart looked at Jewel with a smile. "Sorry. The Heavenly Alliance is still new and these disciples still aren’t familiar with the rules."
Then, his grin grew wider as he continued. "I thought that you wouldn’t consider my request. I’m surprised you came by. I am so honored to have received your trust."
After that, Rogart looked around and noticed that Jewel was alone and felt even more at ease.
‘Jewel turned up alone! It’s going to be much easier to attack the Green Dragon clan,’ he thought.
Jewel smiled and said, "Let's go."
Rogart nodded. Then, he thought of something and politely said, "Miss Jewel, wait for a minute. Please allow me to give instructions to my people before we go."
With that, he quickly walked into the hall. Once inside, he summoned Cayden and whispered, “Tell everyone to follow us quietly. Remember, don’t come too close. I’ll leave a trail along the way.”
“Understood!" Cayden nodded quickly.
Rogart gave a few more orders before he walked out of the main hall and set off with Jewel toward The Legendary Island of Dragons.
Along the way, Rogart behaved like a gentleman. He was talking and laughing with Jewel the whole way. Slowly, Jewel let her guard down around the funny and witty Rogart. Little did she know that thousands of Heavenly Alliance members were following them.
