Shandy felt distressed when she heard Jewel's cry; she bit her lip so tightly that it was about to bleed. The micro-expression on her delicate face kept changing as she was pulled into a dilemma.
Shandy was reluctant to surrender to the Godly Region.
However, if she disagreed, her sister would die tragically—she would lose her head.
"Good!"
Rogart lost his patience when he noticed that Shandy was reluctant to decide. He said slowly, "It seems like you are not going to compromise. So, I won't say anything anymore."
Rogart raised his hand at Cayden.
He had been betting that Shandy would never allow Jewel to suffer. Otherwise, all his effort was wasted.
Cayden did not hesitate after receiving Rogart's signal. He held the longsword tightly and was about to slash Jewel's throat.
"Goodbye, Sister."
Jewel laughed bitterly before she looked at Shandy and said, "Thank you for taking care of me all these years."
Then, Jewel glanced at the sky and muttered to herself.
"Mister Darryl, I'll see you in our next lives."
"Hold on!"
Shandy trembled and screamed just as the sword was about to sink into Jewel's skin.
She took a deep breath and glared at Rogart. "Okay, I promise you."
Shandy seemed to have exhausted all her strength just to say that. Her delicate face showed how defenseless she was.
She never wanted to surrender to the Godly Region, but she did not want to see her sister die in front of her.
Cayden quickly stopped after he heard Shandy's response.
Jewel, Sheryl, and the other dragon elites were all stunned.
