Jewel breathed a sigh of relief and glanced at Kendall, who was extremely weak.
"Mister Darryl, please spare her," she pleaded.
'What?' Darryl was stunned as he looked at Jewel in a daze. "She was about to kill you just now and you want to save her?"
Jewel sighed and whispered, "Although she is wrong, she's not to be blamed entirely. Have pity on her. Her sister died from poisoning. Can you please spare her this one time?"
Jewel's eyes were filled with mixed emotions as she spoke. She was angry that Kendall fired a shot at her and Debra earlier. However, she sympathized with Kendall when she thought about the circumstances.
Darryl was torn after hearing Jewel's request. He stood there, hesitating about his decision.
At the same time, Kendall also stared blankly at Jewel. She was speechless as she had never expected that Darryl's confidante would fight for her.
"Mister Darryl, please give her a chance," Jewel held Darryl's arm and said coyly.
Darryl took a deep breath and finally nodded. He could not bring himself to refuse Jewel. "Alright!"
Then, he turned his head to look at Kendall. "Kendall, I'm sparing your life today because of Jewel. I won't forgive you if you dare be unreasonable again."
Having known Jewel for many years, Darryl could not refuse her begging him for the first time.
"I…" Kendall's face flushed at Darryl's stern warning and she did not know how to respond.
