Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3839

The next second, the sword in her hand flew out and charged straight at Skylar. The temperature dropped to below freezing point whenever the sword passed. However, Skylar remained calm. He raised his hand and casually created a transparent barrier before him.

The sword collided against the barrier with a loud crash, shattering the barrier instantly and sending Skylar staggering a few steps backward. At the same time, Ileana was also sent flying a few meters away. It was obvious there was no clear winner in that round.

'How is that possible?' Ileana steadied herself and looked at Skylar with surprise and confusion. 'I know that freak is Archfiend's descendent, but even so, he should not be that strong.'

"Is that all you've got?" Skylar asked mockingly. His power erupted as he charged toward Ileana.

"You insolent fool!" Ileana said icily. Then, she took to the air and engaged in a fierce battle with Skylar.

Initially, Skylar was very confident he would win because he had the fiend soul, but gradually he lost the upper hand and was suppressed by Ileana. That was not surprising since Ileana had been alive for tens of thousands of years, making her background incomparable to Skylar's.

"Don't panic, Boy! I'll help you!" Archfiend Antigonus shouted when he saw Skylar backed into the corner. Immediately afterward, a violent power of the fiend soul emanated from the mirror and merged with Skylar. The mirror could only seal his physical body but not his power.

Skylar's power skyrocketed instantly with the influx of Archfiend Antigonus' power. He was overjoyed. "Thank you, Your Excellency Archfiend!"

Switching from defense to attack, he cast a palm strike at Ileana. Skylar shot quickly, and Ileana did not have the time to dodge, so she launched out a palm strike of her own. The two palm strikes collided the next second, and a dull vibration was heard.

Ileana was sent flying with a groan before landing heavily on the ground. All the color drained from her face, and she was spitting mouthfuls of blood. Her delicate body trembled, and she was indescribably weak. She looked at the Devil Sealed Mirror with shock and anger. She never expected Archfiend Antigonus' power to be so terrifying or that he could transmit his power to Skylar through the mirror.

Seeing her glaring at him, Archfiend Antigonus laughed unabashedly, and said proudly, "I've told you that my subordinate will come to save me soon, and you did not believe me! Serves you right! You are no match for me at all. I will give you one last chance—surrender to me, and help him release me from the mirror, and I'll spare your life."

Ileana took a deep breath. Determination was written all over her exquisite pale face. "Dream on! As if I would ever go to the dark side!"

"How dare you!" Skylar quickly strode forward and slapped her violently on the face.

Ileana let out a pained cry as she staggered backward from the slap. Her body trembled non-stop. How dare a freak like him humiliate her? She was the King of the Dead, after all! She would not take that lying down. However, she was severely injured by the slap and had no strength to fight back.

"Your Excellency Archfiend, what should we do with her?" asked Skylar respectfully.

"Use the power of your fiend soul to shatter her soul," Archfiend Antigonus said without even needing to think about it. "Bring me out immediately after this. It won't do well to stay in the Ghost World for too long."

Archfiend Antigonus became indescribably excited at the thought of finally getting out of the hellhole.
