"Yvette, I took your royal title away when I was King. You’re not a princess anymore. But, since we're related by blood, I’ll forgive you for your recklessness. You may leave now," Lord Kenny said sternly as he scoffed.
Yvette Lane was Darryl’s woman. How could he let her enter the Imperial Mausoleum?
"You…" Yvette was infuriated and turned red in the face.
Her rage was beyond words. Lord Kenny was being ridiculous. He took her father’s life to take the throne and drove her out of the royal family. Those words that came out from his mouth sounded like an understatement. Yvette could not help but shudder as she recalled her father’s tragic death.
Darryl witnessed the situation and walked up to say, "Lord Kenny, how shameless of you. You robbed someone of the throne and what made you think you had the right to drive her out of the royal family? What's even more absurd is that you're acting like you're innocent after murdering someone's father. How brazen of you."
He then took a glance around him and added, "The truth is, Lord Kenny wants to claim the ancient tomb as his own. He’s said it before that the Imperial Mausoleum belongs to the royal family and Yvette is indeed a princess, but Lord Kenny claims she has lost her position in the royal family and contradicted the truth. Fellow cultivators, come and be the judge!"
Though Darryl spoke with a straight face, deep down, he was smirking. Of course, he had to come forward as Yvette was contemptuous of Lord Kenny.
Since Skylar was not around and could not investigate the episode of Dax being manipulated, he thought he would help Yvette enter the ancient tomb. However, the Imperial Mausoleum was being guarded by Lord Kenny's people and it was difficult to enter. The only way out was to stir up the emotions of the representatives of each sect who were there to cause a commotion.
Everyone there expressed their agreement to Darryl.
"Darryl is right."
"In that year, Lord Kenny murdered the former emperor in front of each of the sects in The Nine Mainland and everyone knew about that incident. Now he’s stopping Princess Yvette from entering the Imperial Mausoleum. How nonsensical is that?"
