"General Grunt, it's a pity Rogart was murdered, but I'm telling you it wasn't me. I'm being framed. If I ever intended to murder Rogart, I could have done it when I left the Heavenly Alliance along with the rest of the Carter family. Why would I assassinate him in the dark?" Darryl said with a straight face.
General Grunt contemplated after hearing Darryl's explanation. What he said made sense. He turned to Darryl as he wondered and shook his head. "Darryl, stop defending yourself. Besides you, who else in The Nine Mainland can take Rogart's life?"
He almost changed his mind, but in the end, he had decided that Darryl murdered Rogart. After all, Darryl had a fairy soul and was fully capable of murdering Rogart. Besides him, there was no one else in the entire Nine Mainland. The truth was, humans were not able to defeat fairy souls.
After being labeled as the culprit by General Grunt, Darryl took a deep breath and said, "Well, since you insist that I was the one who did it, there's nothing that I can do. What do you want?"
General Grunt clenched his fists and said immediately, "Follow me back to the Godly Region now to see the Nine Heaven Emperor."
Darryl chuckled. "What if I refuse to?"
"Then, don't blame me for doing what I need to do."
Darryl burst out into laughter and looked at General Grunt mischievously. "General Grunt, we've fought against each other before and you'll never be able to beat me."
Whoosh!
In that split second, General Grunt turned red in the face out of embarrassment. That was because what Darryl said was true. Darryl easily defeated him during their previous fight together.
However, General Grunt was arrogant and defended himself. "Darryl, stop playing tricks with me. You should know better and follow me back to the Godly Region immediately. Otherwise, don't blame me for what comes next."
