Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 3890

Cayden had always held a certain dislike for Darryl. He hated him for his power. When an opportunity to get back at Darryl presented itself, Cayden couldn't help but feel overjoyed.

The Carter family held great influence in The Nine Mainland. Cayden believed that if he helped Grunt eliminate the Carters, he would make a name for himself in The Nine Mainland.

More importantly, Cayden wanted to gain favor with Grunt since he was the envoy of the Godly Region.

Cayden drew his sword and started mowing through his enemies. Naturally, Dax fell prey to him and had his movements restricted.

He locked his gaze onto Dax's. "Dax, I bet you didn't see this coming."

Having said this, Cayden smiled as he slowly walked towards Dax. This made Dax extremely exasperated. All he could do was sit and take whatever banter Cayden threw at him. To be taunted by an opponent was one thing but to get taunted by an inferior opponent is where Dax drew the line.

On a normal occasion, Dax would have easily won the battle against Cayden, especially with the help of his Sky Breaking ax. However, he was already severely weakened by Grunt's prior attacks. Cayden saw that as an opportunity of a lifetime and seized it perfectly.

"Phew!" Cayden taunted.

"F*ck you! You coward!" Dax shouted.

When Cayden heard this, he responded by stepping on Dax's chest, suffocating him.

Since Dax was already incredibly weak, he could not dodge the attack and was desperately gasping for air.

Thud!

Dax's sternum shattered along with a few other rib bones. In a matter of seconds, he was lying down in a puddle of blood, face as pale as a ghost, and was close to death. He clenched his teeth even harder as the pain became more prominent. The initial surge of adrenaline from the sudden injury, which helped numb the pain, had dissipated over time.

'Cayden really has no shame, using such a dishonorable tactic!' Dax grieved as he was lying down.
