Darryl was about to leave when he saw a disciple staggering out in uneven footsteps. The disciple had obviously drunk too much and was on his way to the toilet. Darryl's eyes lit up. He might as well ask the disciple where Grunt's room was instead of wasting time wandering around the Heavenly Alliance's main altar. After making up his mind, Darryl rushed forward without hesitation and pressed on the disciple's acupoint. Then, he dragged him into a hidden corner.
The disciple could not move, but he could still speak. When he saw Darryl, he immediately became somber. He was so nervous that his voice trembled. "Your Excellency Special Envoy? I'm sorry. I know I shouldn't have—"
He thought that Grunt had come back because Darryl had transformed into his appearance using the Transfiguration Powder. He was so terrified that he almost pissed his pants—it was against the Heavenly Alliance's rule to drink at the main altar.
"Where is my room?" Darryl asked, getting straight to the point. He looked around his surroundings as he spoke.
'Huh?' The disciple was stunned by the question. 'What's up with that special envoy? Why is he asking me where his room is? Doesn't he know where he is?'
Darryl became a little impatient when he saw the disciple's puzzled expression and urged him coldly. "Tell me now!"
The disciple still did not know what was happening, but he did not dare anger him. He quickly pointed to a nearby courtyard. "It's there."
Darryl nodded. Then, he suddenly knocked the disciple unconscious. He hid him in the bushes next to them and rushed toward the courtyard. Darryl was relieved when he saw the deployment inside the room, which was very luxurious and elegant. There was also a set of golden armor on a stand.
Without hesitation, he quickly changed into the golden armor. He felt uncomfortable and awkward in the armor, but he had to admit that it made him look imposing. He quickly made his way over to the Portal Formation in the mountain behind once he confirmed that the area was clear of patrolling disciples.
He successfully entered the Godly Region through the Portal Formation ten minutes later. He stood in mid-air and looked at the Imperial Sky Palace in the distance with a conflicted expression on his cold and handsome face.
The last time he was there, he had been bestowed the title of Nine Heaven Sage, which was one of the more glorious milestones in his life. However, he had to impersonate Grunt to go back there. That just showed how unpredictable life could be.
With a flash, he finally arrived outside of the Imperial Sky Palace. He shouted, "I humbly request an audience with His Majesty."
His original plan was to search for the glazed water by himself, but he decided against it since wandering around would arouse suspicions. After all, even though Grunt had a high position in the Godly Region, it did not mean that he had access to everywhere. Therefore, Darryl decided to take a risk and ask the Nine Heaven Emperor.
"You may enter!" the Nine Heaven Emperor said in a deep voice, and Darryl strode in without hesitation.
'Sh*t! What's up with the atmosphere here?' As soon as he entered the Imperial Sky Palace, Darryl noticed that something was wrong. The Nine Heaven Emperor was sitting there with a gloomy face, and the officials also looked solemn.
A depressing atmosphere pervaded the entire Imperial Sky Palace, making Darryl feel inexplicably uneasy. He walked forward quickly, knelt, and said, "Your subordinate, Grunt, humbly greets Your Majesty."
The Nine Heaven Emperor acknowledged him with a nod and a blank expression. "Grunt, I have issued an imperial order for you to get the Devil Sealed Mirror back. Why are you back so soon? Or have you already gotten the mirror back?"
He tried to suppress his anger when he said that. Half an hour ago, he received news from Grunt, saying that the Devil Sealed Mirror had been stolen from the Ghost World. He was furious at that time and then immediately issued an imperial order, asking Grunt to do his best to retrieve the mirror.
Therefore, he was furious that Grunt returned so soon. It was as if Grunt was neglecting his duties.
