Kendall took Veron back to the main hall.
As soon as they entered the hall, they saw Elder Wind and several others sitting there, looking anxious.
Half an hour ago, the fierce battle between the Heavenly Alliance and the Carter clan had turned for the worse. Elder Wind and the others hurried to the headquarters of the Five Poison Sect to report about the situation. As a result, they were told by the Five Poison Sect that Agatha and Veron were chasing after a mysterious man.
They had no choice but to stay in the Altar and wait for the news.
"Miss Lange!"
Elder Wind and the others quickly stood up when they saw Veron and Kendall come in.
Then Elder Wind asked impatiently, "Where is the sect leader?"
Elder Wind saw that Veron's face was pale and dispirited. A bad feeling spread across his gut.
Several other elders fixed their eyes on Veron, waiting for her response.
Veron first looked around at the elders while biting her lips hard, and then turned to look at Kendall for help. After drinking the Forgotten Water, Veron had forgotten everything and could not recognize the elders.
Kendall said with concern on her face, "Miss Lange, these are the elders of your Hidden Hero Sect."
She continued, "You don't have to be too sad. You should tell the elders about the situation."
Veron could no longer restrain her emotions. She burst into tears and said to Elder Wind and the others, "My mother is dead. She had fallen down the cliff. A masked man named Darryl did it..."
After drinking the Forgotten Water, Veron's memory was now a complete blank. She chose to believe what Kendall had told her before, and now she told everything she believed to Elder Wind and several others.
Veron did not know that she was already under Kendall's control and manipulation.
All the elders of the Hidden Hero Sect were shocked speechless upon hearing the news.
The sect master was dead, and a man in black who called himself Darryl killed her.
After the initial shock was gone, Elder Wind and the others were all incomparably angry.
