"Hey!"
Mona was the first to react, yelling harshly at Darryl. "What are you looking at? Keep it up and see if I'll dig your eyeballs out." She punctuated her sentence with a fierce glower.
Darryl was unperturbed by the threat, cracking up into laughter.
That young lady had such a fierce temper.
"Why are you laughing?"
Mona was practically ablaze with annoyance. She was about to raise her hand, but Lia stopped her.
"Cut it out, Mona." The words were spoken in a gentle tone but held immeasurable power.
Mona was a lady who lived with no fear—except for her sister. She cast her most evil glare at Darryl, stomping away.
"Excuse me."
Lia spoke as her eyes were trained on Darryl. "Who are you?"
"Me?"
At Lia's query, Darryl merely smiled. He did not answer right away. Instead, he responded with a question. "You must be Demon Warriors, yes?"
"Yes!"
Lia nodded. "My father is the White Tiger King."
Next to her, Mona piped up in a smug tone. "Do you know who the White Tiger King is? Only the strongest member of the Demon Warriors and the most powerful. He's the greatest to have ever lived among our tribe, one of the Four Congenial Beasts. Heard of this? You'd better show some respect and know your place!"
What? The White Tiger King's daughter?
Darryl paused for a second, joy overtaking his face at the realization.
What wonderful news!
The Godly Region had come upon a disaster like no other. They were sure to defeat Archfiend Antigonus with the Demon Warriors on their side. However, Darryl had been heavily wounded, and the Demon Warriors were extremely secretive with their whereabouts. Given those circumstances, it was nigh impossible to find their habitat.
The last thing Darryl had expected was to run into the Demon Warriors so soon.
