The eunuch said respectfully to Yvette, "Your Highness, my name is Happy. I'm a personal eunuch of the Eighth Prince. His Highness has asked me to send you a secret letter when he knows you are in the Five Poison Sect."
He handed Yvette a letter.
The Eighth Prince?
Yvette's delicate body trembled, and her thoughts were suddenly going wild in her head.
Yssac, the Eighth Prince, was a child of the New World Emperor and his concubine. He and Yvette shared the same father but different mothers. Lord Kenny Bred ambushed and killed the late New World Emperor at Yvette's martial arts marriage tournament. Yssac had only been two years old back then.
Yvette was an intelligent child since she was young, and she liked pranking others around her. Therefore, her relationships with the other princes and princesses were not the best. However, Yssac was the only exception.
After the New World Emperor died a miserable death, Yvette left with Darryl. She had planned to bring Yssac along but had no chance to do so.
Later, Lord Kenny Bred became the new Emperor. In the act of showing mercy, he let Yssac stay in the palace and enjoy the treatment of a prince. When Yvette got the news, she stopped worrying but occasionally thought of her brother.
"Happy!"
Yvette took the letter and could not help asking, "What's going on with him?"
Happy bent forward slightly and said in a heavy voice, "The Eighth Prince is in a bad place now. As for the details, he should have written them in the letter. Your Highness, you will know after reading it!"
Happy's expression was solemn as he spoke, but a trace of gloom flashed across his eyes.
Happy was not the Eighth Prince's personal eunuch. Lord Kenny Bred had sent him there to lure Yvette to the New World.
Yvette did not ask any more questions. She unfolded the letter and began to read it hurriedly.
After reading the letter, Yvette's body trembled, and her delicate face looked worried because the letter mentioned that Lord Kenny Bred had sent an army to guard the courtyard where Yssac lived to monitor his every move. Yssac was no more than a glorified prisoner living in a fancy cell.
It might not be a big deal to other people, but it was not a small matter to Yvette. After all, the royal family members were the most dangerous and treacherous of the people she knew. A few years ago, when Lord Kenny Bred inherited the throne and became the Emperor, the politics in the country was in complete turmoil. Naturally, he had to do something merciful to win the people's support, such as being kind to Yssac.
