"Oliver!"
A soldier could not hold his anger back, so he shouted at Oliver. "Backstabber! You begged Grunt for an alliance, and look how fast you've changed sides. It's more than clear which side you have chosen!"
"Exactly. There's no trusting a demon."
"Going back on your word? F*ck, how despicable."
The soldiers knew that Oliver and Grunt had allied, and a deal was a deal. How could he go back on it so easily? They did not know that Oliver was playing along with Grunt.
Oliver's expression grew complicated at the jeers, panicking a little.
Crap! Grunt's soldiers had exposed his alliance with Oliver. How would they keep pretending?
That was not good!
At the same time, Grunt grew anxious as well. He had been so caught up in his act that he had forgotten entirely about his soldiers.
Over at the cave entrance, Darryl began to ponder the situation.
Oliver and Grunt had formed an alliance?
That made sense. Grunt would only have been able to follow them because Oliver had tipped him off. After all, the cave was well hidden, and only the Demon Warrior tribe's senior members knew about it.
If Oliver had tipped Grunt off, the conversation between them had to be an act for sure.
Darryl had plenty of experience up his sleeve and could see through the lies before him quickly enough.
He quickly turned to Leia. "Lady Leia, beware of Oliver."
Beware of Oliver?
Leia frowned slightly. "Why?" she blurted out.
