"We do have strength in numbers, but I honestly don't know how things would go if we were to fight."
Oliver lowered his gaze. "I think we'd better leave. We'll think of a way to save Honorable Master Darby when you recover, Leia."
Leia bit her lips. Her heart thudded uncomfortably.
However, Oliver was right. Grunt had already been as tolerant as he could to release Leia. If they provoked him into a fight, there was no way Oliver would win.
After all, Grunt's army had the finest soldiers in the Godly Region.
Leia had no choice but to concur, nodding helplessly. "Alright then. We'll do as you say."
Leia raised her head to look Oliver in the eye as she spoke with gratitude. "Thank you, Oliver. If you were not here in time, I don't know what I could've done. I apologize for being so cold and dismissive to you in the past."
Leia believed Oliver. She did not know that everything was an elaborate act between Oliver and Grunt.
Leia's apologies filled Oliver with uncontainable glee. Yet he managed to put on a neutral expression. "It is just as you said, Leia. We grew up together. Who else would I save if not you? Anyway, let's find a place for you to restore your energy for now.
Leia nodded in agreement. She turned to Darryl and said, "Honorable Master Darby! I'm going to leave with Oliver for now, but don't worry. I'll think of a way to get you out of here."
'What a silly girl indeed.'
Darryl did not know how to respond to that.
It was clear that Grunt and Oliver were only putting on an act, yet Leia had fallen for it.
Darryl wished to tell her the truth, but his body was too weak—he could barely talk.
Oliver turned to Grunt one last time. "I'll be on my way then. See you again if fate is in our favor."
He left the canyon with his thousands of Black Tortoise warriors with a confident wave.
