Darryl was clearly well and alive, yet Grunt said he had died in the Blood Sacrifice of Fiends. At that moment, Darryl was in the hands of Archfiend Antigonus. That was truly beyond humiliating.
After all, Darryl was not only the Nine Heaven Sage but also his son-in-law.
Archfiend Antigonus barked out a satisfied laugh when he saw their reactions. "I'm sure you know who this is, Nine Heaven Emperor. This is your Nine Heaven Sage, who then became your son-in-law."
"What a shame that I've captured him."
The Nine Heaven Emperor took a deep breath. "What do you want, Archfiend Antigonus?" He glanced at Darryl as he spoke.
"It's simple enough!"
Archfiend Antigonus continued to smile. "Give me the Imperial Sky Palace, as well as all your men. You will obey me from now onward."
The Nine Heaven Emperor's face darkened at the request. His worst fear had come true—Archfiend Antigonus wanted to blackmail him into surrendering.
The Nine Heaven Emperor had never been fond of Darryl. He had only married Princess Dorothy to him out of circumstances—to protect the pride of the royal family. Honestly, he hardly cared about Darryl's wellbeing.
However, if he rejected the proposal outright, would that not make him sound far too cruel? How would he lead the Godly Region after that?
Yet, agreeing to Archfiend Antigonus' request was not something he could do.
The Nine Heaven Emperor fell into a dilemma.
Just then, a figure rushed forward. He appeared exhausted and covered in sweat.
It was Grunt.
Upon escaping from Morticia, Grunt had immediately headed to the Imperial Sky Palace. Yet he had, unfortunately, run into a small troop of fiend warriors, holding him back slightly.
Grunt gasped when he saw the scene in front of him. It was Archfiend Antigonus with a few hundred thousand fiend warriors.
There was a man at the front of the troop, held down by a few Demon warriors.
