"Do you think that would work on me?"
Morticia smirked coldy, her tone devoid of any emotion. "Prisoners have no value in the fiend race, and the last thing they deserve is sympathy. I spared your life because I saw some use in you. So, don't be so smug!"
"Fine, then my answer is the same. I don't wish to repeat myself," Darryl said lightly.
When she realized that her plan did not work, Morticia lost her patience immediately. She said coldly, "I see that you're trying to be noble and strong. Fine, let's see how strong you can be."
Morticia raised her hand again, summoning a ghostly ivory whip.
Morticia could hardly contain her fury. She was one of the twelve Fiend Martyrs, and she was well-respected. No one dared to go against her will.
She was furious because she had tried to keep Darryl alive in front of Archfiend Antigonus, yet Darryl was not willing to compromise at all. He must have had a death wish.
"I made this ivory whip from the bones of a powerful Demon warrior ten thousand years ago. One strike is enough to make you feel like lightning has struck you. How many whips do you think you can take in this state?" Morticia asked coldly.
F*ck! That Fiend Martyr was too ruthless.
Darryl's heart thudded in fear. Yet he managed to put on a calm expression. "Is that so? Looks like any old whip to me."
"Being mouthy now, are we?"
Morticia clutched the ivory whip in her hand as her face glistened with iciness. She raised her hand and brought the ivory whip down harshly.
With a crack as loud as thunder, a bloody line appeared on Darryl's chest immediately and soaked his shirt with blood!
At the same time, an agonizing pain spread through Darryl's entire body.
Darryl gritted his teeth and willed himself not to make a single sound as his eyes became bloodshot!
"Do you yield?" Morticia asked coldly.
Darryl's face was deathly pale. Yet he remained speechless as he forced a smile.
Morticia spared no more words. She raised the whip in her hand and brought it down onto Darryl's body, over and over again.
Crack! Crack! Crack!
The sound of the whip rang through the stone room.
