Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4157

Not suspecting anything, Morticia nodded. "Good. I'll need to trouble you to look after the Black Tortoise King."

In her eyes, Darryl was highly capable and she was not worried about him pulling any tricks. After all, they were at the fiend race camp. However, Oliver, who was following behind them, scowled.

'D*mn it. What's Darryl trying to do now? Why is he bothering to take care of my father when I humiliated him previously,' he wondered.

He thought of questioning Darryl, but he changed his mind as Morticia was next to them. Then, Morticia rushed off to see Archfiend Antigonus after saying a few words.

Soon after, Oliver could not help but scurried over and said coldly to Darryl, "Darryl, stop pulling tricks with me. You better forget about it if you're thinking of harming my father.'

As he spoke, he looked ferocious.

To Oliver, the grudge between Darryl and him had worsened and he thought Darryl would never be kind enough to take care of the Black Tortoise King.

'What a fool,' Darryl thought.

"Oliver, no matter how bad I am, I wouldn't be as shameless as you are. If you're worried about me harming your father, you can stay by his side," he said, not wanting to entertain Oliver.

Then, he mocked, "Or, are you too afraid to do that?"

Instantly, Oliver's face turned red. He was felt awkward and was left speechless. That was because Darryl was right. How would Oliver dare to stay beside the Black Tortoise King?

The Black Tortoise King was a tough man and Oliver, his son, had attacked him out of nowhere. Oliver even threatened the Black Tortoise race with the life of the Black Tortoise King. The Black Tortoise King would not easily forgive him when he sees Oliver beside him when he wakes up. Oliver was aware of that and he could not respond to Darryl's mocking.

"Let's go!" Darryl scoffed at Oliver's silence and ordered a few fiend race warriors to bring the Black Tortoise King to a tent nearby to rest.
