After a dozen seconds, the Black Tortoise King looked up at Darryl and nodded. "Darryl, indeed you're a just and chivalrous man. I'll do as you say."
Darryl was overjoyed that the Black Tortoise King agreed and held his hands tightly. "Great! It's either we succeed or fail. I'll report to Morticia now."
Then, he left the tent to tell Morticia that the Black Tortoise King was awake. Morticia was glad by the news and immediately sent her subordinates to bring the Black Tortoise King to Archfiend Antigonus.
Ten minutes later, Archfiend Antigonus sat at the center of the throne with a straight face at the fiend race tent. The atmosphere was filled with a strong aura. Morticia and the other Fiend Martyrs stood on both sides in solemn silence.
The Black Tortoise King looked calm as he stood below them, but deep down, he was in shock. 'Strong! It's extremely strong!'
Feeling the sinister aura around Archfiend Antigonus, the Black Tortoise King felt suffocated, but he pretended to be calm.
Then, Archfiend Antigonus' eyes flickered and said softly, "You're the Black Tortoise King?"
"That's right!" the Black Tortoise King answered.
Archfiend Antigonus slightly sighed and asked, "I heard the Black Tortoise race only surrendered to us under the threat of your son, Oliver. What about you? Are you willing to surrender to me now?"
His voice was not loud but stern.
The Black Tortoise King had a change of expression as he was being questioned and he pretended to look emotional. "Honestly, the Black Tortoise race has never bowed down to any other forces, but perhaps it was god's will for today's situation."
Then, he glanced around him. "Now that the fiend race is strong and tyrannical. I'm sure soon the fiend race will be taking over the Godly Region. If the Black Tortoise race was to go against you, we would just be digging our graves."
Immediately, he knelt before Archfiend Antigonus. "I, the Black Tortoise King, hereby take an oath, that from now on, I'll follow Your Excellency through water and tread on fire for you till the day I die."
