Perfect Husband, The Destined One novel Chapter 4197

As the words rang through the air, Grunt struck with force as hard as lightning. He channeled his fairy soul, blocking the main channels of consciousness on Oliver's body. Oliver's body seized in an instant, rendering him unable to move.

"Grunt, you imbecile!"

Being frozen filled Oliver with unthinkable rage. He opened his mouth to scream at Grunt. Yet he could only get a few words out before Grunt put both his hands on Oliver's head and mumbled to himself.

Buzz!

In a split second, Oliver felt his body tremble significantly. That was followed by a terrifying surge of energy that entered his body.

Indeed, Grunt had begun casting the Complete Takeover spell. The first step was to destroy Oliver's spiritual consciousness, which would turn Oliver into a hollow, spiritless body.

Under the overpowering force, Oliver felt his consciousness turn hazy.

"You'll pay for this! Argh!"

Oliver's spirit was flooded with a ripple of unbearable pain as his spiritual consciousness was destroyed, bit by bit.

His voice grew faint by the second, fading into silence.

Toward the end, Oliver's eyes dulled.

Finally, after his spirit and consciousness had been thoroughly destroyed, Oliver's body fell to the floor with a soft thud.

Grunt let out a breath; the corners of his mouth curled upward sinisterly. 'He mumbled to himself, "I didn't want to do this either, Oliver. But I had to sacrifice you to save my life."

As he spoke the words, Grunt continued casting the Complete Takeover spell, drawing his spirit and consciousness from his own body and putting it into Oliver's.

Instantly, a curious burst of energy surrounded them.

Anyone who saw that would have gotten the fright of their lives. They could only see Grunt's spiritual consciousness and fairy soul drawn out of his body, slowly entering Oliver's.

It was unclear how long had passed, but Grunt finally succeeded.

Grunt stood up slowly, unable to hold back his glee as he tossed his head to the heavens and cackled. That legless body did not feel very good, but at least he would no longer have to worry about being hunted down by the Nine Heaven Emperor anymore.

Then, Grunt picked up his own body and strode off after letting out a few laughs.
