Princess Dorothy bowed her head in embarrassment.
She felt torn between laughter and tears as well.
Princess Dorothy had never expected that Jade Immortal was that competitive. He even chased down Lute for a rematch.
"Nothing else to say?"
Jade Immortal giggled as if he had caught her red-handed, shouting with glee in Lute's face. "That last round doesn't count. I demand a rematch."
He threw the Emerald Sky Pearl at her.
"Hold on."
Lute stopped Jade Immortal, a solemn expression on her delicate features. "I'll take you up on that rematch, but you have to take the Emerald Sky Pearl."
"Why?" Jade Immortal seemed confused.
Lute pointed to Princess Dorothy. "Because she needs it."
"Alright!"
Jade Immortal spoke after a brief silence and turned to Princess Dorothy. "You are lucky to have Lute Belle care about you that way. I suppose you should take it since she insists on giving it to you."
As he spoke, he handed the Emerald Sky Pearl to Princess Dorothy.
"Thank you, Senior." Princess Dorothy received the pearl in her hands. She was ecstatic.
She turned to Lute and bowed. "Thank you, Lute Belle."
Lute smiled faintly, acknowledging her gratitude.
"Alright, alright."
Jade Immortal cut in abruptly. "What are we betting on today? A match with no incentive is no good. Let me see if I've got anything of value on me."
As he spoke, Jade Immortal began rifling through his belongings. A while later, he emerged with a Rainbow Amulet in his hand.
