When the discussion broke out, the generals' gazes moved to Gonggong as they waited for a response from her.
Gonggong had been too proud to ask for help just a few moments ago. Since the Hidden Hero Sect had shown up and volunteered support, surely she would not turn them down as well?
Under everyone's stares, Gonggong's exquisite features hardly moved an inch. Instead, she continued to ponder it.
The Hidden Hero Sect had shown up out of nowhere to help them, and it was surely a surprise.
The other generals were not aware of what had happened in the Hidden Hero Sect, but Gonggong knew all of it. Two of the Hidden Hero Sect's Sect Masters had died in a row just two months ago. That had resulted in Debra Gable becoming their newest sect master.
Debra, like Yvette, was one of Darryl Darby's lovers. Since Yvette was helping the New World Royals take down the North Moana royal city and Debra had shown up to volunteer to help with protecting the royal city—well, it was a suspicious situation.
However, after a few seconds of silence, Gonggong raised her hands and said, "Open the door to them, and let the Hidden Hero Sect men come and see me."
Regardless of why those people were there, it was better to look before making any decisions.
"Yes, Great Marshal," the soldier said before he strode out quickly.
The soldier returned to the palace about ten minutes later with 15 powerful warriors. They were dressed in the same white robes and sported the Hidden Hero Sect crest on their bodies.
A broad and stocky man, who radiated incredibly powerful energy, led the group.
His name was Robert Horne, and he was one of the spies that Lord Kenny had sent there, pretending to be a Hidden Hero Sect member.
"You're from the Hidden Hero Sect?" Gonggong sized Robert up as she spoke in an unbothered tone.
"Yes, I am."
Robert bowed toward Gonggong. "My name is Robert Horne, and I'm one of the Hidden Hero Sect's senior members with Elder Fire. You must be the great Marshal Gonggong. We heard that the New World Royals had joined the fiend race and had called upon an attack on the North Moana Continent and that the tension is pretty high here. My sect master and the other elders decided to send 500 of us to support you."
Robert's face was the picture of sincerity as he spoke—he had prepared all of that beforehand, yet he could not contain the unease in his chest.
