Amidst her situation, Olive's image appeared in Khloris' head.
Olive was the closest person to Khloris in the universe.
'I won't be here for you anymore, Olive. Please take care of yourself.'
Tears continued to stream down Khloris' face as her thoughts haunted her. She could feel Diego's lips were about to touch hers, and hopelessness washed over her instantly!
Khloris had made up her mind. If Diego took advantage of her, she would find a way to end her own life. There was no alternative for her.
"Stop!"
Just as Khloris was about to lose all hope, just as Diego was about to press his mouth to hers, a roar rang from the entrance.
The voice was soft and laced with nerves but rooted with steel determination.
'F*ck! Who's here to screw me over?'
Diego froze at the voice. He stopped what he was doing and turned around to see who it was.
He saw a charming figure slowly approaching with light footsteps, wielding a sword. She looked like a Sword Sect member, based on how she dressed, but it was difficult to see her face in the darkness.
"Who allowed you in here?"
Diego thought one of the female cultivators was there to see what had happened. He shouted impatiently, "I'm interrogating a suspect! It's urgent. Get out of here."
As his plans were disrupted, Diego could not contain his anger. He did not know that the girl was the person chased off the mountain—Olive.
Olive?
Khloris froze as well. She was overwhelmed with shock and excitement—her body could not stop trembling.
Olive had been under her disciple for a long time, and the two women knew each other well. Diego could not recognize Olive's voice, but Khloris did in a heartbeat.
