As he spoke, Diego went closer to Olive as he gripped his longsword.
"Run!"
Khloris could not help but stamp her feet in frustration, crying out to Olive. "Run, Olive, please! Do you want to die here too?
"Don't forget what I told you, alright? Work hard with your cultivation when you leave the mountain, and avenge me in the future."
As she shouted the last word, tears streamed down Khloris' face.
Olive bit her lip as she listened to Khloris' cries, nerves creeping into her heart.
What should she do?
She was no match for Diego. Continuing to fight would mean nothing but death.
Her master was right. There was little point in staying to fight a losing battle; escaping and protecting her life was much more important.
However, if she left, he would take advantage of her master!
Oh!
Just as Olive struggled to decide what to do, an idea came to her.
'Right. Dart had taught me the Mindstop Sword Skill. I should try it out—I might just take down Diego if I'm lucky.'
The thought filled Olive with excitement, and she was instantly not as nervous anymore!
Olive stared at Diego intently and said, "I told you, Diego. As long as I'm here, you shall not hurt my master. Not one bit!"
Then, Olive muttered a chant to herself. She brandished her longsword, raising it into the air. The surrounding atmosphere constricted as an astonishing sword aura burst forth.
The aura emitted a brilliant ray brighter than lightning and shot toward Diego in the blink of an eye.
What?
What skill was that? Why was it so powerful?
Diego could not help his shock at the lightning-like sword aura, powerful as thunder. As he tried to dodge it, a strange fear took over his senses, but it was too late!
The sword aura passed through Diego's body and seized his body in a jerk. A wound appeared at his chest with a dull hum as fresh blood began to trickle out.
That was impossible!
