Yolanda turned red and she felt helpless and angry at the same time. "Sergio, what are you talking about? There are no other rooms left! Plus, Dart isn't a stranger and he's even saved our lives."
Sergio was embarrassed and said coldly, "Stop bringing that up. I think he just got lucky. Plus, I didn't ask for his help."
Then, he took a sickle from the bamboo basket on his back. "I was totally capable of chasing away the wolf pack."
"You're ridiculous. Stop bragging. I still remember your face turning pale when you saw the pack. Anyway, I've decided you shall not drive Dart out tonight," Yolanda said, annoyed.
Immediately, she held Darryl's hand and said with determination, "Come, let's get some rest."
Darryl did not reject her and followed her in. Sergio was exasperated but he had no choice but to enter the room.
Though Yolanda was rather young, she was kind and diligent. She gathered some straw and made a simple mattress.
As Sergio laid down to rest, he glared at Darryl and said, "I'm warning you; you'd better behave yourself when you rest tonight. I won't forgive you if you've got a plot against Yolanda."
'What a fool.' Darryl acted like he did not hear him and turned around with his eyes closed.
Yolanda also turned around and said softly to Darryl, "Dart, Sergio has always been like that. Please don't mind him."
Then, Yolanda asked timidly, "I… I can't fall asleep. Please teach me how to communicate with animals?"
As they were lying closely, Darryl could feel Yolanda's breath when she spoke. He felt ticklish and at the same time, there was a fragrant smell.
Darryl inhaled deeply and held back the strange feeling. He nodded and laughed. "Sure…"
Then, he started teaching Yolanda animal communication.
Sergio, who lay next to them, was furious. 'D*mn it! This guy is crossing his limits. I've just warned him and now he's casually chatting with Yolanda.'
