Even though Darryl's looks had changed, and Yvette could not tell it was him at first glance, there was no way she could have forgotten his voice. She knew it was him the second she heard it.
It really was him. That man would always show up when it mattered most.
Yvette was overwhelmed to the point of tears. At the same time, she was fraught with worry as she called out, "Be careful, Darryl. That Fiend Martyr's really strong. I could not take him down, even with my fiend soul."
"Don't worry!"
Darryl comforted her with a smile before fixing Thoth with an ice-cold stare. “We meet again, Fiend Martyr Thoth. I bet you thought you'd seen the last of me, right?"
Darryl's gaze grew bloodshot with fury as he spoke. "How dare you lay a finger on my love. I'm going to make you pay today."
Darryl practically roared the final words, his voice ringing loud and clear throughout the entire Phoenix Feather Mountain. It sent shivers down everyone's spines, including Thoth and the royal guards.
Yet, at the same time, the royal guards were also overwhelmed with excitement.
"Darryl Darby?"
"What a blessing, Darryl Darby's here! We've got nothing to fear now."
"He seems to be covered in those bloody marks, but he looks even more powerful than before!"
The murmurs sounded endlessly. Thoth's expression was more solemn than ever, and his chest thudded with shock.
The Holy Sky Stone had been right. That man was, sure enough, still alive.
Thoth took a deep breath. His pupils contracted, and the murderous aura he radiated intensified even further.
All he had to do was capture Darryl Darby, and he would have yielded great glory for himself. Archfiend Antigonus would reward him handsomely for that.
"Darryl Darby!"
Thoth flashed a smile as he scoffed mockingly at Darryl. "I see you've been reborn. Some dumb luck you have there, I must say. You had died once at the hands of the fiend race, and you would die a second time too.
"The Honorable Archfiend had ordered the Twelve Fiend Martyrs to come to the Nine Mainland for you. If you're smart, I'd advise you to give up now."
As he spoke, Thoth's face flashed with arrogance.
